Eco-Sustainable Project in Cabo Cabrón, Samaná
Magua21 is an eco-sustainable project located in Cabo Cabrón, Samaná, characterized by its integrative and sustainable design. This complex includes various structures: a main house, staff areas, a guest house, townhouses, and a farm with laboratories, workshops, and employee areas. The architectural design uses local materials and traditional techniques, adapted to minimize environmental impact and promote sustainability. Integration with nature is achieved through large green areas, patios, and sea views to the northwest.
Structures and Materials:
● Main House, Guest House, and Staff House:
Materials: Bamboo, clay bricks, clay tiles, and stone walls.
Windows: Lattice and thermal insulating glass.
Floors: Coral stone.
Others: Wooden pergolas.
● Townhouses:
Construction: Gabion and rammed earth walls.
Windows: Lattice wood.
Floors: Wood.
Roofs: Wooden beams with local slate tiles.
Others: Bamboo partition walls and exterior floors made of treated stones.
● Farm and Laboratory:
Construction: Gabion bases and rammed earth walls reinforced with wooden columns.
Roofs: Similar to those of the townhouses.
● Greenhouse:
Materials: Bamboo for rainwater collection, plastic, thermal mesh, and natural earth floor.
Energy: Solar panels.
● Farm Employee House:
Materials: Rice straw walls coated with cow dung for thermal insulation, wood, cane roofs, and wooden plank floors.

Collection of rainwater stored in underground tanks for irrigation and other non-potable uses.
● Energy Management:
Energy self-sufficiency through photovoltaic panels and wind energy.
Solid Waste Management:
Use of straw toilets for composting, wetlands for wastewater treatment, and biogas production from fecal matter.
Laboratory to experiment with organic waste in construction and decoration.

Wholesale of farm-produced food to local residents to boost the local economy.

Creation of a barn as a collection and recycling training center.
