Our Strategy and Goals
With the development of Nomad City, a private town adjacent to Hacienda Cocuyo, the demand for short-term rentals and catering services is expected to surge. Hacienda Cocuyo, with its prime location and established reputation, is perfectly positioned to meet this growing demand.
Our strategy involves a $1 million investment to upgrade, refresh, and expand the hotel with 20 additional rooms. Key improvements, such as installing air conditioning in every room and adding desks and cabinets, will accommodate longer stays, even for several weeks. Additionally, we will create a coworking space and install high-speed broadband internet, making the hotel more appealing to digital nomads and remote or hybrid workers. We will also build a fully equipped professional gym with an ice bath and sauna, and expand the restaurant to increase its capacity.
By 2026, we aim to achieve key performance indicators such as an Average Daily Rate (ADR) of $170, Revenue Per Available Room (RevPAR) of $105, and Gross Operating Profit Per Available Room (GOPPAR) of $100. This will drive annual revenue to $2.5 million, with an expected EBITDA of 25%.
About the Borrower
The creator of this campaign, platform owner and Borrower is Samana Group REH S.R.L., the leading developer and largest landowner on the Samaná Peninsula in the northeastern Dominican Republic, with 4,000 hectares of strategic land. In collaboration with the Dominican government, the company oversees the harmonious development of this picturesque region, guided by the protection of its rich natural heritage.
The Samana Group’s revolutionary master plan allows for development on only 20-25% of the land, reversing the typical proportions of tourist resorts. Luxury villas, residential-coworking complexes and green neighborhoods are seamlessly integrated into the local landscape, surrounded by lush tropical forests, white sandy beaches and crystal clear azure waters.
Ultimately, these projects will form part of a private town, Nomad City, administered by the Samana Group. The company’s vision is to offer a new quality of life: comfortable work, modern amenities and a touch of luxury amidst the truly unspoilt tropical nature.
Proven success in crowdlending
