SunRoof, a Polish-Swedish startup developing 2-in-1 solar roofs and energy-management technology, has partnered with modular-building manufacturer QMODULAR and Samana Group.
The collaboration brings together advanced solar technology and modular construction in response to growing demand for energy-efficient homes that can be built quickly and efficiently.
One of the key outcomes of the partnership is the development of the Solar House line of zero-energy homes.

One of the first stages of the collaboration is the construction of a Solar House show home at QMODULAR’s headquarters near Kraków. The project is intended to demonstrate the possibilities of combining modular construction with advanced solar technology.
The opening was planned for the first quarter of 2023.
Solar Houses for Nomad City
As part of the partnership, Samana Group, SunRoof, and QMODULAR will design, manufacture, and deliver modular homes from the Solar House line for Samana Nomad City, a residential and coworking community on the Samaná Peninsula in the Dominican Republic.
According to the project assumptions, QMODULAR buildings will be better adapted to seismic conditions and more resistant to cracking than traditional construction.
SunRoof solar roofs and façades are intended to give Nomad City greater independence from the conventional electricity grid.
